Earth Day

     Hi everyone, it's Earth Day.  What can we do to make the Earth that we live in just a little bit better.  Maybe plant a tree or conserve water by getting some drought tolerant flowers and plants.  I know its hard to keep up our landscaping but we can still keep it beautiful with cactus and other succulents.  This is important now more than ever. This water drought does not look like it is going away any time soon.
     How about recycling or repurposing something old and bringing it back to life again.  How about reusing some stuff that you might have otherwise thrown away and have lots of fun with the kiddos making crafts in the process.  Who are we kidding,  I never can throw anything away.  I have a mountain load of those cardboard paper towel rolls in a bin and love to save my old spagetthi jars. I also love cardboard.  Having a house full of kiddos, it makes sense for me to be able to help them bring out their imaginations. Having stuff that we can paint, glitter and craft with and save some money at the same time is awesome.
     Today we will be repurposing some old pieces of wood that was taken from our old play fort and instead of throwing the old pieces away we will be turning them into some signs and plaques.  So today is a beautiful cool sunny day, perfect for an outdoor project.  The kids could also help.  Painting can be a lot of fun for the little ones. As long as they are supervised.  Otherwise, you may be looking at something being painted that shouldn't have, like the dog. :):)

Alice in Wonderland party decor

Luau centerpieces 2011 Birthday pool party ! :):)

 So it's that time again, summer!! We always have our daughter's pool luau birthday party around this time.  PERFECT weather for a pool party for sure.  It's summer, school's out and the kid's are ready for some fun in the SUN ! (Since when  do I overdue anything!!!) We always try to do our very best for our kid's birthday's.  Anyway, these are their childhood memories that will last a lifetime.  :):):) In this first picture you will see one of the centerpieces that I made for the party.  Table centerpiece that I made for the party !! :):)  balloon burst,  that my husband puts together every summer for the kids. :)  The treasure box,  I now have displayed on my aquirium. :):)  You always have to have some zebra print, with pink, at a 12 year old birthday party:)  The cutout that I bought at a party store, that I just had to have at our party :) My centerpiece :)

Spongebob centerpiece 2011

So it's June and I have a lot of projects this month going on.  It seem's like everything just creep's up on me so my Cricut machine has been working full speed.  My son's birthday is coming up and I am doing a Spongebob under the sea birthday theme party. Water games,  popcorn machine, snow cone machine and a pinata are all on the list of activities. I have been making spongebob decorations with my cricut machine.  I just love this centerpiece so I just had to post some pics,  I think it came out so cute !!  I will be posting more pics of all the final projects later.  Thanks for looking:) P.S Any of these items can be ordered, just let me know what you would like.
